Endless technologies have been worked out to force off the potency of terrorism from our shores. While the labor still continues in all possible aspects, experts in Portsmouth are working on a kind of a bazooka for the future. A less lethal weapon, this uses compressed air, targets suspected speed boats and disables their propulsion system with the payload, stopping them safely without harming the people inside.
Dubbed the Air Launch Running Gear Entanglement System, it is currently being tested in five different locations in the UK to figure out the future of the gun’s development, which could possibly become real by the 2012 Olympics. If it is worked out, the boat-stopping system will be the best defense equipment developers would have done to bring down the innocent causalities in the case of war-like emergencies.
