Just imagine a printer that can print a book of around thousand pages in less than a minute for you. No, I haven’t gone crazy. Within two years from now, it would be possible for the printers priced between $500 and $1,000 to churn out a thousand pages per minute, thanks to the JeTrix Printer Head. The credit for this innovative invention goes to Nissim Einat and a team of researchers at The College of Judea and Samaria in Ariel Israel.
Currently, the run of the mill printers spew out around 50 pages per minute. The JeTrix make is a flat, two-dimensional panel designed to be as big as the page and throw out all the required ink simultaneously unlike the small assortment of nozzles that makes numerous scans to print a page in the ordinary printers.
The only limitation that comes into limelight might be the flaws from bad nozzles on the printed page as the Einat’s print head ejects all the ink at once. Color printing could also be a problem.
But the whole concept of printing customized newspapers and books from vending machines within no time is awe-inspiring and this will indubitably revolutionize the way the printers print.
