The Flash Drives have never been so crazily prized, but when the offering is great, the cost will certainly follow suit. When the Fusion-io’s new ioDrive flash card fills the stands it will be expensive, but the 640Gb Fusion-io drive will transfer your data at an immense data transfer rates of about 800MB/sec (Read) and 600MB/sec (Write). The speed would be about a thousand times faster than any existing disk drive i.e. some what at par with DRAM. The disk is surely every geeks sneak-peak, priced at $19,000, it may put most at the back foot, but there is a possibility of the drive rates coming back to ground in a bit.
