There was a tinge of controversy when the Sony Vaio UX UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) came into the market. The confusion was regarding its categorization as a micro PC (some people thought the contraption was too much powerful for that). Now, a modder by the YouTube user name of pochowandpoch has made use of the same advanced specs of the Vaio UX to ingeniously contrive a hand-held gaming device, linked to a PS3 controller.

The conspicuous PS3 controller has been attached to the base (mounted) of the UX, while the data connection has been achieved by utilization of Bluetooth technology. For optimum user comfort, the grips of the controller were disposed off, thus accentuating upon the compactness of the fused contraption. This presumably makes the device more convenient to handle.
On the other hand, in spite of its relatively high specs (for a UMPC), the Vaio UX was never contrived for hardcore gaming experience. So, while the conception would score high on the novelty factor, playing up to date games in this device can prove to be difficult. But with convenient features such as inclusion of desktop like OS and emulator running ability, the hand-held gaming rig is certainly a winner in our books. Check out the video for a clear cut illustration.
