Fully automated Shadow Caddy set to revolutionize the world’s favorite game
Nobody likes to spend a good afternoon at the golf course yelling at the 90-pound weakling who decided caddying might be the best way to pay off those college loans. So, if you’re the kinds that like to actually relax and have a good time at the course with nothing but your solitude for company, this Shadow Caddy shall do the trick for you. Developed by golfer Hubert Novak, the "follow-me golf caddy" literally follows you around the course thanks to a handy transmitter worn by the user. With multiple on-board CPUs and a collision detection system to navigate the fairways, the Shadow Caddy can easily be controlled by a panel installed atop the 3-wheeled cart. The all-weather automated caddy was one of the 21 entries that made it to the finals of the Next Big Thing Award and is currently undergoing preliminary trails at four Melbourne golf courses as a rental accessory.
