Fujitsu launches 300 GB portable HDD, ultra security promised
Are you, like me, worried that sooner rather than later spies are going to get to the data stored on your PC? Yes. Then this mobile HDD is especially for you. Read on:

Fujitsu Computer Products of America has unveiled its travel ready high-capacity external hard-disk drive (HDD) for the US market. The 2.5-inch external hard drive comes with 300 GB storage space in a sleek and compact design.
The new external HDD is based on Fujitsu's mobile hard disk technology. It's equipped with all the necessary components, which allows users to carry their data while traveling.
The HDD includes an integrated USB 2.0 cable, which provides quick and easy connectivity to users.
Since the HDD is equipped with USB bus, it provides the necessary power to the device without the need of any external power source. It assures physical protection with the distinctive 16-point omnidirectional shock mounting design, which reduces the effect of any impact.
The HDD has data protection suit for PCs and is bundled with Apricorn's EZ Gig II for Windows, which enables the system to be backed up as an image or an exact clone. It also comes with Cryptainer encryption program, which helps privacy with AES 256 or Blowfish 448-bit encryption. It ensures data integrity, while the Second Copy 2000 synchronizing software coordinates the file sharing and back up between multiple computers.
The Fujitsu external HDD 300GB/4200RPM would be available for US$229, while its 120GB/5400RPM version for US$129. Releasing in the third quarter of 2007 in the US market.
