
Fujitsu has introduced world’s first 2.5-inch SATA hard drive with a 160GB storage area.
The device runs at 7,200 rpm and has a 3.0 SATA Gb/s interface.
The new drive has been targeted at high-performance notebook PCs.
The new series dubbed MHW2 BJ series will be available by the end of May, 2007.
The HDD also boasts of transmission speeds up to 300 MB/s, which also is the fastest in the industry.
The series also features best-in-class acoustic noise level of 2.5 bels (4) at idle and operates at just 2.3 watts when reading or writing data.
