Fujitsu has not only the FLEPia eBook reader on the block to show off. The firm has added two new scanners to its ScanSnap series – the ScanSnap S1500 and the ScanSnap S1500M. Perfect for home and small business environs, the Fujitsu ScanSnap scanners combine performance and affordability in a compact size. At 60ppm for scanning black and white documents and 20ppm for colored ones, the new scanners are quite a bit faster when compared to other models in the series, and the credit goes to the more intuitive software interface. The interface lets the users save and email the scanned documents.
The ScanSnaps with ability to detect grayscale images also feature intelligent paper feed detection system using ultrasonic tech to identify the size, color and text on either side of the paper. For the software the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1500 includes Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard and CardMinder, while the S1500M Adobe Acrobat 8 Professional and Cardiris Business Card, and are available for $495.
