FujiFilm's F60fd: the latest addition to the revolutionary F-Series compact camera range

Amateur and professional photographers would vouch for the fact that 'noise' can ruin some of the best low-light photographs. This is where the ISO settings of a camera come into play. And FujiFilm's F-Series has carved a niche for itself in delivering top-notch performance in the most demanding light scenarios. Among compact cameras, this product range, with its extensive ISO settings, has certainly stood apart whenever noise and color in low-light conditions are of prime importance. The latest addition to this revolutionary F-Series is the FinePix F60fd 12MP 'point and shoot' camera. The most notable feature in this new entrant is its Scene Recognition mode, which apparently eliminates the need to pre-select a scene mode while shooting. Whether it is Portrait, Night, Landscape, or Macro mode, the camera does the selection for you. This essentially means no twiddling with cumbersome buttons.

The features that separate the F60fd from its predecessors include F2.8-5.1 3X optical zoom lens with 640×480 video capture capabilities, 13 Pre-programmed Scene Modes, a 3” TFT display, and a long-lasting NP-50 lithium-ion battery, which offers enough power for around 230 shots when fully charged. It follows the F-Series trend by including features like Face Detection 3.0 with Automatic Red Eye Removal, Dual Image Stabilization, xD / SD / SD-HC Compatible slot, and ISO settings of up to 1600 at full resolution, 3200 at 6MP and 6400 at 3MP. Come September and you'll find this cool camera at a nearby store for $300. Guess this gadget has made quite a lot of the regular 'noise' already!
