From cyborg insects to cyborg chickens in Japan

The word "cyborg" no more exists in imagination and fantasy, it has gone beyond and has reached the tenterhooks of realism. DARPA has its own cyborg animals being created and there are chaps at Sega in Japan who’ve developed cyborg chicks, which are ideally the same as the real ones. Small enough to fit the fist, dubbed Yume Hiyoko, these palm-sized chickens are priced at about $19 and have touch sensors on their backs, on being stroked at which the robotic chicks chirp or flap their wings, making themselves indistinguishable from real chickens.
