So, here we go, with this year's first blow Apple kills all third-party manufacturers who were encashing on iPod speaker systems with the introduction of its own iPod Hi-Fi speaker system.
'Apple is reinventing the home stereo with the new iPod Hi-Fi, the first iPod accessory that adds true high-fidelity sound quality to the iPod,' said Steve Jobs, Apple's CEO. 'iPod Hi-Fi's unrivaled acoustic performance and stunning design is at home in any room in the house.'The iPod Hi-Fi is controlled by the Apple Remote is fueled by 6 D-cell batteries or wall socket power. Though it not something out of the blue, other manufacturers have incorporated the same features in their systems, like the dock's iPod charging facility. The dock also caters to a wide range of audio sources with its dual-purpose 3.5-mm auxiliary input that accepts either analog or digital signals.
