
Samsung would uncover their breakthrough at FPD International 2007, in Yokohama, Japan on October 24-26. According to them, it’s the thinnest, just 1cm, 40” TFT LCD screen!
Samsung would once gain debut its proficiency - a 40-inch (101.6cm) diagonal Full HD LCD TV panel only 10 millimeters deep. The TFT’s bezel has been reduced from a conformist 30mm to just 14.6mm. It incorporates a LED backlight, imitates 92 percent of the NTSC customary for color display saturation and that too burning the lowest amount of power ever – just 90Watts.
In their laptop section, Samsung will expose premium LCD panels with a whooping 16:9 aspect ratio. You have the option of choosing from - 16-inch (40.6cm) and 18.4-inch (46.7cm) screen sizes, all of the above mentioned TFTs help you watch HD movies, digital TV and next-generation gaming, planned for a 16:9 aspect ratio. Besides this, Samsung will demonstrate its new-fangled 15.4” (39.1cm) LCD with a dynamic, white-LED backlight.
FPD International, would also witness the debut of Samsung 22-inch desktop monitor LCD with a next-generation DisplayPort interface officially permitted by the Video Electronics Standards Association that augments the use of high-quality graphics, 8 bits or more than that.
Now coming up on the digital information display (DID) section, Samsung will point up a 46-inch model with a brightness level of 1,500nits, which is in fact a three fold in comparison to LCD panels intended for TV screening. Such higher brightness level makes Samsung DIDs a lot effortless to be seen in public places, where sunlight and fog interfere with visibility. It has a bezel of around 10 millimeters thick.
For their mobile display sector, Samsung would untangle a seven-inch display with an embedded touch screen on to its glass layer, front panel.
In addition, Samsung will focus on to their next-generation conceptual beings - 14.3-inch plastic display, 8.1-inch e-paper, and a 14.1-inch active-matrix OLED.
