The Forerunner 610 watch was today launched by Garmin International Inc. The watch with a built in GPS is designed for serious runners seeking an extra advantage while practicing. The Forerunner 610 uses touchscreen technology & is projected as a sleek, robust & weather proof machine.

Since it has been designed for serious runners, the Forerunner 610 is capable of withstanding rain, sweat & other kinds of hazards that a sports watch may come across. It can also be used in combination with running gloves.
The Forerunner 610 makes it easy for an athlete to check his speed & distance & monitor his heart beat at the same time. It uses touchscreen technology & comes with a high resolution display. For monitoring heart rate of the runner, the Forerunner 610 uses a vibrating motor which alerts the runner about heart rate, pace and distance when audible tones cannot be heard. It also allows the runner to track his training intensity through a unique Training Effect feature.
