Pasadena-based solid-state drive manufacturer Foremay has announced that the company has developed the world’s fastest SATA SSD with standard 1.8-inch micro SATA SSD interfaces that can deliver read and write speeds of up to 280Mbps and 4KB random IOPS of 15,000 (write) and 30,000 (read). The company claims that the drive is only 7mm shorter in length than a standard credit card and measures between 3mm and 5mm thick. The drive has been aimed at the mobile-computing market that includes rugged laptops, UMPCs and tablets.
