Japanese are not only looking mechanical and technical strength in robotic world, but are anxious to get the due acceptance to them. Tatsuya Matsui is one name, which is exhibiting a variety of robots with a tremendous ability to evoke human emotions, which is the necessity to get them in every home like a family member. Matsui is conducting an exhibition titled ‘Flower Robot that emphasizes on proving these man made machines to be equally empathetic, endearing with a demand of nurturing like those found in humans. The ‘Metri’, a large grub like appealing on the basis of its soft skin and much to mislead emotions, gropes about in unnerving fashion. Mannequin robot ‘Palette’, white humanoid figure set upon a spotlighted black dais, is another befooling attempt for acceptance like Posy. This one is way ahead in seeking attention by swinging its arms gracefully and enhances the appeal of a blouse in which it’s dressed and even reacts to viewer’s presence.

Mito exhibition also serves a medium to exhibit his nonrobot projects. Products like Kyushu-based airline Star Flyer, designing everything from the Airbus livery to the tickets and paper cups with a vision for lifestyle in 21centaury.
