Another day brings another interactive display. Impress, how the Silke Hilsing designed flexible display is called, lets the user carry out interactive actions with feedback. The German designer, to get the display behaving in the way that it does, has got an Arduino based processer fitted to run sensors placed between pieces of foam on the surface. The touch interaction (similar to that you’d have with any touchscreen display) with the foamed surface gets the sensors to communicate with the overhead projector to provide the required feedback in communication. Apart from the regular stuff, like playing with lights and interactivity, Hilsing’s interactive display also provides space for 3D modeling, 3D galleries, music creation and news reading. Great stuff to hit the market some day. Thoughts? Read on for a few more images and video.
