The Flex insulin pump design from Ellaluna Taylor offers monitoring of glucose levels, and pumps in an accurate dose when there’s a need. A user can put on the Flex as a “prosthetic skin” and the little patch gets to work right away. The Flex interfaces with an eReader to display information, and uses an MEMS Nano Pump to deliver a dose. All said, the Flex would be a lot more useful if it were less invasive and more comfortable.
