Five things you don't know about Apple's iPod
The lists of things you can do with your favorite iPod are endless, but still if you want to make the best use of it, you must know a few basic things you may be oblivious of.

Alexander Wolfe has ripped the soul of your little white brick with the introduction of five things or tricks which you don't know about the player:
1. You can replace the iPod's battery yourself.
2. You can rip your DVD movies to watch on your video iPod.
3. You can't access the iPod directly with Windows ME, 98, or Linux, but there's a way out.
4. There are viable MP3-player alternatives to the iPod.
5. You can bypass Apple's DRM.
These points will melt down all your misconceptions about the player and with respect to DRM I'd like to say, as was once published in Playlist Magazine, that "If you are too cheap to pay 99 cents for a song, then how the heck did you afford the iPod?"
