Online retailers, Fits.Me launched Robot Mannequin in a female form, which will help the female buyers to choose the right sized clothes online. Earlier this facility was only available with male buyers who tried their fitting online on a male robot mannequin, but it is extended to females as well. The female buyers can now judge what a garment will look like on their body. It will work like an online trial room service and will be available as a plug-in for online clothing retailers.

Online shopping has always been inconvenient because it was tough to choose the right sized clothes without even trying them. Many times the clothes look good on your computer screen, but do not even fit you properly, when actually tried after the purchase. Last year, Estonian start up Fits.Me resolved this problem, but only for male buyers. Now it is available both for male and female buyers equally. It took time to launch the female shaped mannequin because women come in many different shapes and sizes. The female robot mannequin assures to fit hundreds of female body shapes up to 85% of the female buyers who try it. All that the customers have to do is to enter their measurements like height, bust, waist measurement etc. online using sliders and they can see the photos of the mannequin with just the same shape like them or rather the same measurements entered.
The customers can try different clothes of different styles and sizes and can easily decide which will suite them. The robot mannequin technique saves the time of most of the shoppers, as they need not waste their time going shopping and spending a lot of time in trial rooms. When a retailer signs up for the service, Fits.Me checks the materials available in all the required sizes in the shop and updates the same in its database. The same is available to the shopper when they access the website. By registering to this service, the online retailers can handle the biggest problem of online fashion-return of the ill fitted clothes and lack of trial rooms. British clothes retailers Hawes and Curtis adopted this service for the first time and they confirmed that their sales have increased by 57% with lots of new customers availing it.
