avie
Digital pictures and images have just brought about a revolution not only in the in the entertainment industry, but all the forms of video visualization. Moving the digital world into new horizons, iCinema - an interactive cinema research group - and Projectiondesign have join hands to produce even better screening from varied viewing angels. Initially they will work on two artifacts, i.e. the Advanced Visualization and Interaction Environment (AVIE) and the iDome. While the AVIE, using a cylindrical silvered screen that is 35 feet in diameter and 13 feet high and seven PCs and twelve F1+ projectors for 3D pictures, is the first 360-degree stereoscopic panoramic projection ambiance, on the other hand, the iDome with a 13 feet diameter fiberglass dome presents a 360 x 180 degree projection. The F30 projector has been employed to compliment the HD (1920 x 1080) resolution capabilities of the iDome and a surrounding 3D spectacle of numerous video clips allow viewers an interactive setting to sort and edit. The new products would certainly be a boon for big cinema and conference halls and malls, but I’m not certain if these products would be as reasonable (size and cost) as to be accommodated in homes.
