Many times machines come for rescue where it becomes impossible for humans to approach. One of these calamities, fire is a one such condition, which can even engulf the rescuer. However, Tokyo Fire Department has solved this problem and has incorporated yellow robot to combat fires. Crawling system allows its movement on rubber and other obstacles, while different types of cameras and sensors detect fires. It can also calculate the levels of carbon dioxide and combustible gases. Two controlled arms can be equipped with water or foam dispensers. Not only this, but robots can load up patients and transport them out safely. Fire officials can take a sigh of relief, however, the large size of robots limit their practicality in houses and small building.
