Finger vein considered paying solution over Credit cards
Credit card misplaced, number cracked and the account hacked - a sad tale for several around the globe, as the world resorts to credit money - but now, the hacker would require your finger to be mislaid, before he hacks into the account. Weird, ain't it, but true!

In an attempt to make things simpler than ever in a cashless society, electronics maker Hitachi Ltd., in collaboration with credit card makers JCB Co. Ltd., have put forth an ultimate idea in security, letting customers pay by scanning their finger on a specially designed scan machine.
This'll be a development of a biometric cardless credit payment system called the 'finger vein system' - the technology identifies the vein of a person's finger that works as a credit card or an ATM card.
Hitachi will rely on its finger vein verification technology, which much like the fingerprints varies form one person to the other. If the vision of biometric technology (that a few Japanese banking giants have already employed to identify clients as they conduct transactions or use ATMs) materializes, then customers could simply pay for their acquisitions by only using their fingertips - i.e placing a finger on the machine, which'll scan an image that would be matched up with customers' data in the system.
Hitachi, involving its 200 employees will launch a field-testing experiment for their technology in September, to check for the viability of the same. The growing use of credit cards and apprehensions driving loss and theft - has called upon banking organization to come up with reliable security systems and I think this card-less payment system will be the ultimate security solution - coz it's chased by no worries that I started with.
