Digital photo frames are one of those hip things you can bring home this summer with prices falling even as clarity and storage capacity are going up. In a way, Fidelity’s latest digital frame is the reflection of the way things are heading in the digital frame industry. The Digital Photo Vault has got a humongous 80GB of hard drive memory that will gobble up your entire photo collection and still have space left for your MP3 music files, MPEG and AVI video files. Yes, you heard it right. In addition to music, Fidelity’s Digital Photo Vault will even play videos on it’s 8″ screen. That isn’t all, the Digital Photo Vault features motion sensing and memory expandability too. What this essentially means is the Photo Vault will light up only when it senses motion in the room. At all other times, it will go into sleep mode thus minimizing it’s battery consumption. Very neat! Meanwhile, the Digital Photo Vault will sell for $399 when it hits stores sometime in July.
