No, I am not kidding...! Architects Mitchell Joachim and Javier Arbona along with an environmental engineer Lara Greden have tried to do just that...
They have designed a house that will grow from a few seedlings into a fully developed double-story, water recycling and energy-efficient house.
You don't need any building material to build that house, it will be made of special plats that grow by themselves just like any other plant, but they won't grow to become trees they will become a fully functional house in FIVE years.
The trio is currently working on the weave of vines and roots that will eventually become the walls of your adobe.
The exterior of the house may seem to be a bit unconventional but the exteriors will be the same as any other modern house. The walls will be plastered and painted to keep out the cold and the rain.
The biggest problem that the trio is facing is that they don't know how the planning board will react to a house that constantly grows...?
The house will take five years to complete, but customers will be able to buy a ready made house and then have it transported to any location within a 100 miles radius,and replanted there.
