EyeHear hearing aid displays spoken words as text on glasses

We recently saw the Visual Hearing Aid by Mads Sukhdev Hindhedeuses, now based on somewhat same principle of things, designer Kaitlyn Fox has developed a microphone and mini-computer embedded device, which is clipped onto a pair of glasses to record peoples’ speech and then convert the same into text for the deaf and the hearing impaired to read. The EyeHear as the device is called uses speech-to-text software to convert the spoken words into text, which is then via a pico-projector is projected onto the bottom of the glasses' lens, providing real-time information of what is being said to them. Such concepts certainly have a future amid the differently abled and perhaps in the field of education. Hit the jump for a few more images and videos of the EyeHear.
