When we think of footwear and cutting edge technology in what goes under the feet of some of the top-notch athletes on the planet, then it is the names of Nike and Adidas that strike our mind first. Because David Beckham bends it wearing his special boots or Jordan dunks with the custom crafted “Nike” on does not mean that they essentially are the best footwear available for the ordinary man. (Though it would be hard to convince them otherwise, with all the flashy ads around). Cat Footwear, in partnership with the d3o lab, has released ERGO FlexGuard, the world’s first workboot that sports “intelligent shock absorption technology.”
The ERGO is made with a revolutionary material for flexible impact protection called the metatarsal guard, which ensures that the metatarsal region of your foot is well protected on impact. The revolutionary material that the boot contains on the outside absorbs the impact and the vibrations that it causes and secures your feet when you take a hard and unexpected fall. The d3o technology that is encased in leather to act as the metatarsal guard will be the first of its kind for the commercial market, but has been used by the military for a while now, and its efficiency has been tested to the hilt.
Cat Footwear intends to launch the ERGO FlexGuard very soon and with the new age work footwear available, protection and comfort should both be available as a single attractive package.
