Epson's next-generation Micro Piezo print head has World's Highest Degree of Distortion

Japan-based Seiko Epson Corporation has announced its thin-film piezo element that touts aloud its highest degree of distortion.

This Micro Piezo print head is an inkjet print head that uses Epson's original Micro Piezo technology to produce density of 360 dpi. It also promises better-quality ink ejection presentation, compatibility with different types of inks and durability.

This advanced technology operates on electrical signals to convert shape of piezo elements to fire ink droplets according to the physical force generated by the change in shape of these element.

Its superior ink-ejection performance and high degree of reliability can prove highly beneficial for consumers coming from commercial and industrial sectors and the volume production of this next-generation Micro Piezo print heads will apparently start from April 2007.
