Epson displays an ultra thin e-ink display
The image above is an ultra thin E-Ink display device, designed by Epson. Measuring just 3mm thickness, the electronic display can read 1400 pages on a single butter-cell battery.

The display system is largely based Epson's TFT design. The weight of the gadget is approximately 57 grams. It means that you can carry it where you like for reading e-materials.
The Epson hi-res e-ink display features maximum resolution of 1,200 x 1,600 pixels or 300dpi, a contrast ratio of 8 to 1, 43% reflectivity and a redrawing time of under a second (0.7s to be exact). The terminal measures 180x120mm (B6 size). The display device is powered by CR1220 button cell battery.
The Epson e-ink display can provide an easy way of reading electronic papers for those who are bored reading electronic papers on computer monitors.
Seiko Epson has unveiled the latest display at Embedded Technology 2007. However, the company has disclosed price and release date for the same.
