The technology aims at bringing electronic devices on plastic films through laser irradiation and producing low-power consuming displays. This will lead to the production of all-plastic substrate TFT-LCDs with a display area of 0.7 in measured diagonally and a pixel count of 428/spl times/238.

Last year E-Ink and LG.Phillips LCD built a 10.1 inch flexible electronic paper display with a resolution of 600X800 and a pixel density of 100 pixels per inch, but the latest development with 1536X2048 resolution has taken the technology a step further.
