Computer ergonomics are getting better with each passing day and the Switch Mouse concept is one more in this direction. Though we’ve had ergonomically designed mouse pads to relieve some stress on our hand muscles, they haven’t been all that effective. So the boffins at Humanscale design have put together this concept called the Switch Mouse which actually sits smug in your palm, which in turn lets your shoulder muscles literally shoulder all the responsibility of operating this mouse, thus greatly relieving your hand muscles of all the effort. The Switch mouse also features a nice little integrated pad on it’s fringes to keep the heel of your palm comfortably planted while you are not using the mouse. The traditional scroll wheel has been given the boot and you now have a circular joypad for the scrolling business. This means that you just need to tap your finger to scroll up and down and even scroll from one side to another. For the Switch Mouse to fit your palm like second skin, it can be adjusted for length which gives you the perfect fit according to your hand size. We just can’t wait for this exciting little Switch Mouse concept to make it to production. Stick around for further word on this one.
