E-K50 II Movable Display: Advertising gets a green shot in the arm

Long touted as the display technology of the future, LED Displays are all set to hit the movable advertising sector with OMDM making the first move, to build a movable LED display. This display called the E-K50 II is currently being showcased at the CHITEC 2008 technology fair, in Beijing that'll last till the 25th of this month. This movable LED Display developed predominantly for outdoor advertising is mounted onto a four wheeled platform which provides it the much needed mobility. This also means that this LED display has to be rugged enough to withstanding the fury of the natural forces like wind, water and the Sun. LEDs traditionally have been low power consuming and using them for advertising will definitely reduce electricity consumption as they are many times more energy efficient than the power gobbling neon signs. So that makes the Movable LED Displays a very compelling choice for advertising firms across the globe. More pictures after the jump.
