Most of us are familiar with the Duros 8404 rugged Tablet PC, and because rugged PCs are becoming the norm we take all the more interest in such makes. Now, with an intention to stuff the system with some efficiency and power, Duros has created a rugged tablet with Intel’s 1.1 GHz Atom processor and an 8.4-inch SVGA resistive touchscreen that’s clearly visible in the sunlight.
Featuring a solid-aluminum chassis and non-rotating compact flash drive, the Atom processor would offer the 8404 rugged tablet with faster computing and extended battery life. The LED sunlight-viewable display with 120-degree viewing angle makes the system three times brighter than the screen on the previous model, which has a brightness of about 1,100 nits.
