Blu-ray might have done a one up on the HD-DVD rivals by presenting a 200GB Blu-ray disc but at just 0.1mm thickness how does it protect the data. TDK relies on the 'Durabis 2' a hard coating technology to protect the data from wear and tear.

Does it work??
According to Hexus Yes!! it does they took a Blu-ray disk and a normal DVD and subjected them to vigorous steel wool treatment and then of permanent marker. After that the Blu-ray worked while the normal DVD disc couldn't handle the abuse.
Note: the disk on the left(in Pic) is normal DVD while on the right has 'Durabis 2' coating.
Verdict:
It works!! But is the war with HD-DVD over nopes!.
