Mike Walters is an established DIYer, and from him this time around we have a very dynamic and interesting creation called the Mystery Circuits Drumssette. The Drumssette was a Tascam four track cassette recorder, which has now been turned into a programmable drum machine by Mike. This sequencer requires an audio tape to create interesting drum beats. The cassette tape has four tracks, which contain a single, repeating drum sound. “Track one has high hat, track two cymbal, bass drum on track three, and the last track has snare.” These drums are synchronized with each other, but each track is independent of the other and is shown by the row of red buttons, which on pressing creates the corresponding track beat. The beats can be mixed up to get some awesome music, check the videos below to understand what the Drumssette is all about.
