Sony is set for an Electronic Bookstore on the Internet through a device that will be available from October 1 onwards and will incorporate around 10,000 books from the top six publishers, including News Corp.'s HarperCollins and CBS Corp.'s Simon & Schuster, which will approximately cost about 25 percent less than the cover price of physical books.

E-book device will also endow costumers with download from the "Really Simple Syndication" or RSS Feeds of popular blogs, such as Salon, Slate, Huffington Post, engadget and Gizmodo to read on. Consumers will only be able download from approved feeds and not from restricted feed.
Mind it, Sony Reader screen is not back-lit and requires a light source in the room to view the page.
