Normally while watching a TV program or a news bulletin I usually have to run and find the remote control else the high volumes of the ads that are displayed during the break causes some headache.
The reason is not that there is any problem with the volume controls of my TV but the reason is that the ad makers purposely introduce ads at a volume that is higher than that at which the normal program is running. Well Dolby Volume will act as a headache medicine as their new technology will make sure that the TV plays all content at the same volume that is acceptable by the listeners.
The company also gave a demo at CES and during the demo they also showed how this new technology is effective in normalizing the volume of ads with that of the main telecast.
