Thousands of people queued up outside the Apple Store in New York ahead of the iPad release, all hungry and thirsty waiting to only be the first few to lay their hands on the iPad. But, there was one, Rana Sobhany who made the best use of the time – working on the iPhone’s music app, the DJ was stuck with an idea to use iPad music software and applications to create a unique blend of music for herself. Now, christened the iPad DJ, Sobhany makes some serious music using two iPads and some apps. Though in the video below (by Rob Scobie), she uses some extra equipment along with the iPad, but she claims she can do the same using the iPads alone. Sobhany’s not doing anything that other DJs cannot, but her setup is much cheaper and more efficient, plus it opens doors for budding musicians and application developers to lend their hands out for iPad DJing.
