DJ MoCAP has developed a camera based controller for his TRAKTOR Scrath DJ system. With this one, DJs can literally ’sketch’ the controls with simple pencil or marker on any surface including paper, wood or plastic and then just rub their fingers over these encircled portions to get the desired music alterations! The movements are captured through a camera pointed towards the surface. The response time to release the effects is optimum and won’t affect the rhythm. Well, this is perhaps the strangest way of computer interaction atleast I’ve ever come across in my entire life! Take a look at the video.
