Innovation is no man’s legacy. At times students make such things for their classroom projects that not even the best can deliver. Robotics is one such real stage where individuals have thrived beyond the best in the game, and these ice cream serving robots by students of the Department of Technological Studies at Ohio Northern University is a perfect case in point. Built as a final year project for ONU’s homecoming festivities, these Kuka robots have been developed by 26 students over a span of 5 weeks. The visitor places the order over a touch sensitive screen, and when the ice cream is ready the robot receives it in the bowl adds a topping or two and serves you the helping with a spoon.
