This digital camera is actually a simple box camera, it has a roll of film installed in it and the camera can be used only once. Usually these cameras have built-in, focus-free lenses. While some of them are installed with a flash unit, some also have waterproof versions available for underwater photography. The roll used in the camera is an APS cartridge or 135 film.

The material used for the camera can, as the name itself suggest, be recycled. In fact, it can be separated into parts and each part can be individually recycled and molded into a new one, the electronic components can be recycled too. This type of a digital camera can be purchased from a tourist information center or a shop. The camera is sold along with an information brochure for tourists and it also comes with a map. After use, the film can be removed and the pictures kept for posterity, while the camera can be returned to the vendor.
