Displax technology turns any surface into a multitouch screen

To enhance the ability of interactive displays, DISPLAX has developed a large format multitouch technology which when embedded on to any non-conductive flat or curved surface turns it into a multitouch screen. This first of its kind multitouch technology has been based on polymer film, which when applied to LCDs, glass, plastic, wood etc of any shape turns the surface into a multitouch surface, thus enhancing upon the capabilities of interactive displays.

The Displax Multitouch Technology has a grid of nanowires rooted in the film attached to the enabled surface which respond to small electrical disturbance caused by touching. The technology for now has been developed to identify 16 fingers on a 50-inch screen, besides touch the enabled screens also responds when the user blows at them.
