Dirt cheap DIY: Ice on Fire baby

Who says that only sexy chicks can set ice on fire, I've got the simplest DIY that you'll ever come across, to say to yours pals "Hey mate, I set some ice on fire!" Mr. Kent, a bloke who just can't get enough of the fiery stuff, took a Pyrex dish and spread some calcium carbide chemical and then put ice cubes on it. Now, as the ice melts the water drips down over the calcium carbide and starts a reaction that produces acetylene gas (highly flammable). Put a lighted up candle (before hand) or ignite a match stick and throw it inside the dish from a safe distance. The match will thereafter burn on its own, literally setting "ice on fire."
