DIRECTV to release additional TiVo features in 2008

DIRECTV and TiVo will develop a new software upgrade for the DIRECTV DVRs with TiVo service built on the Series 2 Platform.

This new software will debut in early 2008, and will provide customers with DVR enhancements offered with the TiVo service. These enhancements will include a Recently Developed Folder and Overlap Protection as well as DIRECTVs remote booking feature.

DIRECTV stated that they want their customers with TiVo to remain in touch with all the latest that technology has to offer.
