Digital boards: A joy for both tutor and taught
The time is not far when the classrooms will get a new look and instead of having those blackboards they will flaunt all new digital boards. The interactive boards are cropping up in the classrooms and teachers as well students are getting addicted to it.

Olivia Valentino a teacher in Millersville elementary high school has just two words for it 'it's outstanding'.
She is totally hooked to the gadget and so are her students. At least six county schools in have this touch screen gizmo and on touching the screen will stimulate the computer attached to it will supply data, videos, slides and the even graphs. What more the teacher can use it as a normal board and write on it. Teachers can change backgrounds, or leave the screen white.
For math lessons, virtual protractors, rulers and compasses help teach geometry rules.
The lesson taught by the teacher can be recorded and then played again for a quick revision in the end.
This movement of the schools towards the digital technology can render the analogue devices in to their annihilation.
There are three types of board that are available in the market a portable SMART Board, which costs about $2,000 for a board and projector. The second is InterWrite board it sells for about $3,000 with a projector. The third one being tested is called Promethean and it will cost around $4000.
Looks like the technology has started shaping up future classrooms.
