In a major development, Hitachi has launched yet another high versatile terabyte hard drive, the Deskstar 7K1000.B. It is the successor of 1TB Deskstar 7K1000, which the company released last year. Dubbed as world’s most energy efficient hard drive, the Deskstar 7K 1000.B provides 1terabyte data storage, 7,200rpm rational speed and a 32MB buffer. Its size is just 3.5 inch. The three-disk 1TB hard drive enhances idle power consumption up to 43 percent than its 1TB predecessor. Thus, it is the best solution hard drive for power-friendly consumer and commercial PCs. The price of the hard drive is around $ 239. Hitachi will sell it this month.
