Dell’s EV-DO 5700 ExpressCard will be available by the end of this week to aggrandize your laptops with high-speed cellular network up to 2.4Mbps. The ExpressCard is in fact the refurbished version of Novatel’s Merlin XV620. Sadly, Mac owners will have to wait for the release of proper drives to take advantage of the card. However, Engadget reports that the just-released 10.4.7 update to OS X includes the necessary drivers to support this device on the Macs.

Dell will sell the Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband ExpressCard along with one month of free Verizon EV-DO service for $179; however, you’ll have to pay $59.99/month if you have a Verizon voice plan, or $79.99/month if you don’t.
