Samsung may be the first company to embrace DisplayPort technology in its 30-inch monitor way back in July this year, but Dell is coming a big way to dominate the digital display market. The US-based techno giant has made several updates to its widely used 3007WFP/WFP HC monitor and dubbed it 3008WFP.
3008WFP is the latest 30-inch monitor till date which supports DisplayPort technology, HDMI, D-SUB, S-Video and DVI-D inputs. The DisplayPort technology transfers data at 10.8Gbps data rate enabling 2560×1600 pixel count for an unrivalled picture.
Though 3008WFP has 2560×1600 resolutions like its predecessor, the new monitor features an image processor necessary for video scaling. In other words, it can scale any resolution to the full surface of the screen. You can also use 3008WFP as a video monitor system.
Dell has not disclosed the release date of the monitor. So, we have to wait for some time to see the high profile display system in the market.
