Dell announces the arrival of Inspiron R series with Dell-Dock and synaptic touchpads

Dell has announced the arrival of Inspiron R series of laptops. And, this specific series of laptops use Dell’s new hinge design. Coming in four metallic paint colors of Mars Black, Peacock Blue, Tomato Red and Lotus Pink, the screen hinges on Inspiron R are set forward by an inch from the back of the machine, allowing the screen to open even further. The laptops also feature Dell-dock, which is software that Dell has been installing on the laptops for few years now. The laptops are available with Core i3 and Core i5 CPUs.

In terms of display you have the option of 14, 15 and 17-inch displays, with Dedicated 10-key number pads on 15 and 17-inch versions. Coming with built-in card readers, these have up to 8GB DDR3 SDRAM, up to 640GB SATA HDDs, optional discrete ATI Radeon graphics with 1GB of video RAM, built-in web cam and synaptics touchpads. Starting at $499, the laptops are available at Dell.com for now, But, the select configurations will be sold at retail in Fry's Electronics stores starting on June 25th.
