Delay in shipments of the 17-inch MacBook Pro

The 17-inch MacBook Pro in a unibody construction was unveiled at MacWorld Expo ’09, and many MacHeads immediately ordered the notebook. Since then they have been waiting, and the wait is stretched over until the February 19th, with a source at ground zero stating that the wrapping of the 17-inch Macbook Pros is taking longer than anticipated. The customers have been informed via email about the delay, sans any concrete explanation though, however the customers have the option of canceling their orders for a prompt refund through the order status website.
