David Hambling reported about Gregory Jenkins’ ‘Just In Time Strike Augmentation’ (JITSA) couple of weeks back and he’s back with insights of another classified UAV program.
The new craft dubbed as ‘Penetrating High Altitude Endurance’ (PHAE), is programmed to cruise at 70,000-80,000 ft. Unlike the Compass Arrow, that too was introduced with cruising capacity of 80,000 feet powered by a single engine, the PHAE equipped with a twin-engine will definitely be superior especially for massive strike missions and SEAD with a considerable impact.
